He wants revenge against the brothers who betrayed him but first he has to get past the one man he can’t resist…
At the tender age of eight, Rafe Barretti lost everything. His parents, his childhood, his innocence. And the brothers who were supposed to protect him let him go instead. Twenty years later and he’s finally ready to exact his revenge by taking away everything they hold dear – their company, their reputations, their futures. But even that isn’t enough – their loved ones will have to pay too and all their precious secrets are fair game.
Former mercenary Cade Gamble’s only job is to take down the hacker stealing sensitive, private information from Barretti Security Group and Cade is damn good at his job. But there’s more at stake because the co-founders of BSG, Dom and Vin Barretti, are like family and no one touches Cade’s family. The fact that the vengeful young man turns out to be the youngest of the Barretti clan doesn’t matter. But when their tumultuous encounters turn into something more, Cade will have to decide between protecting the only family he has and giving in to his need to save Rafe from himself.
Can Cade help Rafe find redemption so he can forgive the sins of the past or will Rafe’s quest for vengeance destroy them both?

Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. No cliffhangers.
Twenty years ago a family secret came to light with devastating consequences that left four boys to fend for themselves. The eldest brother Vin was old enough to stand in as a parent but the secret wasn’t finished hurting them yet. Rafe, the youngest, was taken from his home, from his brothers that he believed would look after him and thrown into a life of chaos and abuse. The last thing he remembers was his brothers promise to find him and bring him back and for the first couple of years he clung to this but when they didn’t arrive to save him he began to lose hope and all his thoughts turned to revenge.
Cade has nothing but respect for Vin and Dom Barretti. They maybe his employers but they are also his family and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He works for Barretti security and the company currently has a problem. Someone is hacking into their computers and stealing information, information pertaining to their family and friends. Cade is sent to track the hacker down but the guy he is following is a lot smarter than Cade has given him credit for. The irony is that the guy Cade is currently tracking is the same guy Vin and Dom have spent a fortune on trying to find for over two decades.
Rafe’s childhood was horrendous after he was taken away from his family and he hasn’t known real love for years. He is cold and unfeeling and lives only for revenge. He truly believes when he has exacted that revenge and ruined his brother’s lives that it will in some way help him come to terms with the wrongs he has lived through and he will be able to move on. With someone trying to kill Rafe Cade offers him protection and the two men get closer than either of them expected. Rafe is completely unprepared for coming face to face with his brothers and he has to work hard not to let his emotions get in the way and to stay focused on his task.
Cade falls for Rafe hard and fast and seems determined to give the man anything and everything. He is in the awful position of possibly having to choose between his family and the man he has fallen in love with.
This is a sad and heart breaking story where there can never really be any winners. Rafe’s abuse is something that can never be forgotten and whether he goes through with his plans for revenge or not his brother’s will always love him and want him back. The affect that his childhood has on Dom and Vin is equally devastating when they learn the truth and they literally fall apart in front of everyone that loves them.
A computer file, and funnily enough one that Rafe missed when he was hacking their systems might be the one thing to help them start to heal.
