Dashing von Stride has one thing on his mind: winning the window display contest for the Miracle on Main Christmas Contest. His plans are set and ready—and then he walks into his toy store, Reindeer Games, to find a sleigh that shouldn’t be there. The mystery sleigh sparks a new plan, however, and now all Dash needs is the perfect Santa to model his display after.
This year, the pranks with his reindeer have gotten out of hand. Instead of preparing for the Big Day, Niklaus Kringle is hunting for his missing sleigh. Locating it should have been easy, but games easily won are seldom worth playing…
Reindeer Games was a very fun and cute Christmas story! It was like this story took the best images from all my favorite Christmas stories and used them as inspiration for this setting. I loved the toy store and the Christmas Elves. I wish I would there would have been more time devoted to the North Pole, but that was a minor thing for me.
Dash and Nik were great together and while their romance was fast, it did not feel rushed. The bonding helped take away some of the need for a long courtship but even with that, the author gave the reader a true “insta-love” that was easy to understand and feel.
I liked this story. It reminded me of many of the cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies I love. I only wish it were longer so that I could spend more time with the characters and see more of the North Pole. Maybe there will be a sequel?
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
