Three men, so many secrets. Can Brody, Lark and Zak find their way to love, or will someone put a stop to their chance at happiness forever?

Brody is starting again. He’s moved halfway across the country to a new city, a new life. But it’s hard to stay hopeful when you’re one meal away from starvation and two weeks away from eviction. He needs a job. Fast. And not in his old line of work either or he risks everything. Fortunately, Sandpipers’ restaurant is in need of a kitchen hand and Brody’s desperate enough to do almost anything. But once the pressures off, Brody finds a whole new focus for his attention. Well, two actually! He’s just not sure he can afford to indulge.

Lark and Zak have been partners for years, both in business and in pleasure. They know everything about each other. They know what they have is right. They know…that there’s something missing. Could Brody be the answer? Will the secrets each of the men keep drive them apart? And will they live long enough to enjoy their love once someone decides it’s perverted?

My View:

This book ended up in my Queue because another reviewer requested it then chose not to read it because it was a menage story. I wasn’t blown away by the story but it was a pleasant tale about three men finding what they need with each other.

Brody is a young man with a troubled past trying to create a brighter future for himself. He hopes a job at Sandpipers will give him the stability he so badly desired.

Lark and Zak have been together and happy for years but their relationship is ‘missing something.’ One issue I have commonly have with menage stories is terms like ‘missing something.’ It’s not exactly descriptive. They seemed perfectly happy to me so I didn’t see what it was that Lark and Zak were missing.

That’s not to say that both men didn’t have chemistry with Brody. Brody tugged on my heartstrings from the beginning, the story of his hard luck life made me feel for him. I could see what it was Brody was missing in his life and understood that it came in the form of a couple.

Unlike many menage tales, this story showed the bond between all the characters both together and separate. Oftentimes one side of the triangle is lacking but here the connection between Brody and Zak was as strong as the one between Brody and Lark and as the one between Lark and Zak.

The sex scenes are positively scorching and there’s a couple neat surprises tucked inside that made for strong conflicts.
