Levi Branton has just invested in a new breed of horse that could really pull in money for him — if he can transport them safely back to the ranch. But the train he’s on is teeming with trouble, most of which surrounds the attractive and available Asa Eberhardt.
Can Levi let his guard down enough to fall for a man on the run, or will their indulgence lead to disaster?
I have to admit I chose to review this book strictly based on the genres listed: Gay Interracial Steampunk Western Erotic Romance.
Now that is a hodgepodge of categories, isn’t it? I had to find out how one short story could bring in all that. Believe it or not, the author did a decent job. I was entertained while I read it.
Levi Branton is transporting horses for his ranch on a train when he meets Asa Eberhardt. The spark between them is strong but Asa is holding onto something several other people want and this gets in the way of Levi and Asa getting it on.
There’s a lot of action here, of both the beat-em-kind and the fuck-em-hard kind. Levi and Asa don’t let a little thing like their lives being in danger stop them from having a roll in the hay—literally.
I recommend this story for anyone looking for a quick, enjoyable read.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
