Elements of Love: Book Three
When Gabe Windslow and his friends stormed Archbishop O’Fallon’s dungeon, the last thing they expected to find was a malnourished young man who’d been beaten so badly he lay at death’s door. Unable to abandon someone in need, Gabe rescues the poor man and continues to care for him during the days that follow.
Branded a Sin Eater at birth by his deformities, Sammy Newton expected to die after the latest cleansing ritual he took part in. Instead he awakens to a world where nonhumans and magic are good and Sin Eaters aren’t needed.
Confused by a steadily growing sense of betrayal, Sammy struggles to decide whether he should help his rescuers fight the dark forces hunting Gabe and his friends or return to his life of slavery and abuse in order to save his soul from damnation and hell.
I enjoyed this addition to the Elements of Love series. I love the take on Religion and Power. The world in this future continues to fascinate me and I love the way the series plot ARC is progressing nicely. I am eager for the next book to learn more about the baddies and their motivations and to see which elemental finds his mate next!
My only issue with this book was that the romance felt off. Yes, fated mates and all that, but I still didn’t feel the love that was talked about and I had a few issues with the way Sammy healed and suddenly came out of his shell. It wasn’t consistent for me. However, it did not distract much from my enjoyment of this book and I am still so eager for more in this series!
When will the next one be published?
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
