Four nights. Four nights in a little rented house on the beach: Will, Hugh, and Truman.
It should be a light, fun, sexy four nights–but nothing is ever simple with these three. A lot of love, a lot of sex, and a whole lot of complex emotions.
Warnings: two married therapists and their very flexible, very submissive, best friend. Yep. Everything you think might happen? Probably happens.
THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD series is like nothing I’ve ever read and I find it to be most rewarding and very important for me right now. It shows the different aspects of love and relationships, how you can love more than one person at a time and how every relationship is unique and neither better or worse than another.
And I think what stands at the core of this series is acceptance, of oneself and of each other. No matter what you’re into, how open or closed, how temporarily or permanently your relationship is, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Nothing. Total, a hundred percent acceptance.
I love how intimate this series is and find myself to be very much like Will, one of the main characters, in this regard with his intimacy kink. We are so close to every character. We get to know their innermost thoughts and fears and love. This is so precious to me and I’d daresay it helps me learn and grow.
I can’t tell you how much I respect and adore Kris for not making zir books into some drama-angst-fest. No, they are real and beautiful, and they feel safe. I feel secure and I know ze will never fuck with me. Thank you, Kris, that is something very precious to me.
This series is like the hottest. Ever. Seriously, it is off the charts. I’d never thought I’d be into this so much, to be honest.
What reading this series has taught me is that there is probably no “kink” per se that I can’t read. It’s all in the presentation and whether you can make me believe in it and foremost the characters.
I highly recommend giving this series a go. Since HONEYMOON is already book 8 or something, you should start with CATALYSTS, which you can even get for free, I think, when you sign up for Kris’s newsletter on zir website.
