They hit it off immediately and Harry is soon hoping to make their business relationship a little more personal, but Diego has responsibilities to consider before he can date anyone, especially a client.
Can Harry and Diego design a sound future for themselves?

Clocking in at just over 11,000 words, you can’t expect miracles from A Sound Beginning. What you can expect is two guys with their big heads on straight and their little heads looking for some action. You can expect some fun and some heat. You can expect a couple of secondary characters with no purpose other than to bounce scenes off of, but who add to the story never the less.
I didn’t feel the writing in this story was quite as strong as in some of Adam’s other works. All the necessary story elements were there, but I felt that the author spent slightly too much time describing irrelevant parts of scenes to the reader. These descriptions served to slow down and admittedly quickly paced story.
These two go from client/employee to friends to lovers to whatever over the course of only a few weeks. However, they do so with their eyes open, their hearts ready, and their friends’ support.
I can’t say that A Sound Beginning is my favorite Jeff Adams story. It is going to take a heck of a lot to unseat Simon and Alex from that spot. However, I can certainly see myself re-reading this one a time or two when I need a light, hot read.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
