Two cops walk into a bar. Mason, the bartender, waits for the punch line, because no way in hell are these ridiculously hot men real cops. They’re straight out of a cop-fetish fantasy. But he quickly learns that Jack and Gray are the real deal, and they want him in the worst way.
What starts as a night of hot, three-way sex becomes a lot more. The two cops fulfill Mason’s submissive fantasies, but they also meet a more basic need, comfort. They want to take care of Mason, to offer him unconditional friendship, but their concern for him unnerves Mason more than even the kinkiest sex.
To find happiness with his new partners, Mason must change his belief that love is as much a fantasy as a pair of gorgeous, handcuff-wielding cops landing in his bed.
This is a re-read for me which is perfect as the fourth book in the series is due out soon.
“Two cops walk into a bar”
That line always sticks in my head when I think of Fitting In as that is exactly what happens. Gray and Jack, partners both on the force and off, walk into a bar and there seems to instant lust all round as they make eye contact with the barman Mason.
The thing that makes this story for me is that Silvia didn’t just put the three men together and expect them to work, she didn’t make it easy ergo it comes off feeling real. Mason is desperate for some love, absolutely desperate, but he’s also not stupid and has been hurt one too many times so he is nervous and over thinking, which is a good thing as it slows him down.
Gray and Jack are in a committed relationship although have to stay in the closet or suffer the consequences at work, they’re not just worried about any hassle they would get but also the fact they would be split up. This is not acceptable to Gray who is possessive and dominant, a role he carries though into the bedroom.
When they get together it’s hot! There is no other way to describe it – it involves dominance, spanking and two men playing in their uniforms. It’s also a lot more than they all bargained for and Mason in particular has a problem processing that they might want him for keeps and not just for the hot sex.
Now to catch up on the rest of the series before Going Deep is published in February.
Greg Bordreaux is a new narrator to me in fact when I checked on Audible this was the only book I could find that he had narrated. Very easy to listen to and someone I would have no problem listening to again.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the audiobook of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
