Hi, everyone! I’m TC Blue, and I’m here to… something. Hopefully entertain, perhaps intrigue, and hopefully not bore… well, you!

This is my first time posting on Outside the Margins, so I’m not entirely sure what to say, but I’m going to give it the good old college try. Is that even a saying anymore? ponders (One of the things you may notice about me early on is that I tend towards tangents. I might start out talking about bunnies and end up explaining my cowboy hat collection. And yes, I do have one. A cowboy hat collection, I mean. Not a bunny. But I kind of want a bunny now. They’re cute and fluffy, and they lay caramel eggs. What could be better, right?)

Today, I’m not talking about bunnies or cowboy hats, though. I have to save something for next time, don’t I? No… today, I’m going to talk about the (most recent) thing that has me shaking a bit in my boots — I’m a boots girl, by the way, meaning… if you ever see me in high heels that aren’t boots? Chances are, there’s a hatched pod somewhere. Just saying.

This April, for the first time in my eight years as a published author, I will be attending RT, aka Romantic Times Booklovers Convention, as an author. (To be honest, the ‘as an author’ part is irrelevant. This will be my first ever RT!)

I’m very fortunate to have a lot of friends who write in the M/M romance genre, and even luckier that a fair number of them will also be in attendance. I’m hoping that’ll help ease my way, or at least help me to feel less like a bumbling idiot. Not that I feel like a moron or anything, but you know how it is, right?

How it is when something’s going on and you’ve wanted to be a part of it for a while, and when you finally are, all those shivery, shaky feelings come up? It’s like being asked to the prom by the cool guy at school and even though you know he’s not a complete dick, you still worry a little that he might not show up, and if he does, that he might egg you from his limo. (I may have seen ‘Never Been Kissed’ a few times too many. Just to be honest.)

So a little about me, aside from my weird emotional rollercoaster-y ways:

I’ve been writing original fiction since 2007, published since 2008, as I may have already said (we all know I did, but let’s just roll with it, okay? Thanks.), and I do have a variety of publishers. There’s Torquere, of course, and Dreamspinner, along with Totally Bound (or Pride Publishing, as their M/M imprint is called), Wilde City Press, and MLR. The last two have been the publishers of the Butt-thology series, which I’m extremely proud to have taken part in.

And what is a Butt-thology, you ask? Well! A Butt-thology is an anthology which has the word BUTT in the title. (I’m so giggling right now. Because my sense of humor was apparently stolen from a ten year old boy.) Who wouldn’t love to be part of a book called Butt Pirates in Space, or Butt Ninjas From Hell, or Butt Babes in Boyland? Not to mention Butt Riders on the Range, and the latest Butt-thology, Butt Villains on Vacation (coming — no pun intended — in late April)!

So, yeah. There’s that. grins

With regards to my solo efforts, I’m a huge fan — HUGE! — of the HEA, though I admit that sometimes there’s an unexpected HFN. Generally that means the characters want a sequel, so… make of that what you will. Demanding bastards. grins

I’ve lately started branching out from contemporary to paranormal, and that’s incredibly fun for me, so hopefully people will enjoy it as much as I do.

In fact, one of the books I’ll have with me at the gigantic signing at RT (see what I did there? Around the block, and back to the start! It’s a transtangental conversation! Woot!) is my release from February, Black of Night. It’s about a vampire short order cook and a diner owning werewolf, and murders in a smallish California city, and… Well, it gets complicated from there. It’s my first real “paranormal” book, so there we go with the shaky and nervous, though I think it’s understandable, right?

Nerves aside, I’m looking forward to the experience. I’m hoping to jump off a building in Las Vegas while I’m there. Probably not out of despair. hee No, seriously. The Stratosphere has this thing where you pay them and they let you jump over a hundred feet, face first. I want to do this more than I want ALL THE THINGS! (Because I’m either insane or an adrenaline junkie. Jury’s still out.)

So there you have it.

I write, I’m slightly crazy, and talking to me is like trying to herd cats.

Welcome to the funhouse, and see you next month! I promise it won’t hurt TOO much. whistles quietly

Oh, and P.S. — myself and many of the other M/M authors hosting the RT Paranormal Carnival will have a free anthology coming available at All Romance Ebooks sometime in the middle of April. It’s called ‘It Happened in Vegas,’ so keep an eye out!
