Finally going from fake-boyfriends to the real thing, Spencer Cohen and Andrew Landon are trying to take things slow. They know what they have could be something special and despite the flammable sexual tension, they don’t want to crash and burn.
Spencer is learning to open up, sharing the secrets of his past with Andrew. Afraid to put his heart on the line, yet seemingly unable to stop it, Spencer knows he’s falling in love with him. Andrew is petrified of leaping in blindly, yet it seems the slower they go, the faster they fall.
As they navigate their new relationship, Spencer worries Andrew will freak out when he takes on a new client. But it’s not a normal case and Spencer soon realises things are not what they seem. When things take a downward turn and they work together to help the client, Spencer and Andrew need to decide if they’re ready for the next step.
Spencer Cohen Series Book Two picks up right were we left off with Book 1. Seriously RIGHT where we left off. If you don’t remember what happened in book one, I suggest a re-read (it is quick and worth it).
Book One was about the beginning. It was about two very different men coming together and finding that what they thought they wanted and what they needed were two very different things. It was about letting go of the past and taking a chance on the future. Book Two is about making it work. It is about learning each other and meshing lives. It is about finding limits and communications.
Book Two is a sweet continuation of Spencer and Andrew’s story. There isn’t as much conflict as I was expecting because both of these men understand the meaning of maturity and the value of talking instead of hiding. It is also about compatibility… in and out of the bedroom, but especially in. This book is hot. Seriously. They may be taking it slow, but their bedroom antics belie that concept. Though really they are taking thier relationship at a pace that is right for them.
I am eagerly awaiting the conclusion of Spencer and Andrew’s story.
