Since I think we’ve all had our fill of Serious Business posts this week, I’ve benched mine and done what I usually do when there’s been enough negativity and arguing: recs. Because reading is what keeps us all here, and there’s a whole lot of books out there, and I try to spread the love on as many as I can.
HEXED by Jordan Reece
An awesome book about a man who cannot see b/c his ex-lover threw acid in his face. He shared his room in the hospital with an unusual man he starts to fall in love with. Not an easy premise for any writer, and Reece does it perfectly.
SOULLESS MANGA by Gail Garriger
I loved the first book in this series (I haven’t gotten around to the rest) and I think I love it even more in manga form. The art is beautiful, and the story converts to this format beautifully. If you want a quick, cute fun read, this is perfect.
CONVERSATION HEARTS by Avon Gale
I loved everything about this story of a rent boy and an assassin. Wonderful and perfect from start to finish.
THE CAPTAIN’S MEN by T.J. Land
I read this just last night and am so very glad I did 🙂 I love poly, and this wasn’t a premise I’ve read before in sci-fi. I also like that though it was poly, the story was not a smutfest. The dynamics were awesome. Can’t wait for book two.
And that’s all I’ve got. I hope everyone is having a lovely week, or that it improves soon 🙂
Title: The Only Option
Author: Megan Derr
Publisher: All Romance eBooks
Publication Date: 05/01/2016
Cover Artist: Erin Dameron-Hill
Genre: Bisexual, Fantasy, Gay Romance
A desperate dragon. A lonely necromancer. A marriage neither wants.
When he is summoned to the royal castle, Rochus anticipates nothing more than a particularly difficult assignment. The bothersome journey is almost made worthwhile when he is propositioned by a young, beautiful dragon, Tilo, who seems untroubled by the fact that Rochus is a necromancer.
When Rochus arrives at the castle he is ordered to marry the very same dragon he spent the night with. Though Rochus would rather sign papers and return home, he is helpless against Tilo’s pleas for help, even if it means spending more time around a man he is desperately drawn to but who doesn’t seem to want him
