About to lose the only thing he ever loved, Adam Pittaluga is at a crossroads in a dancing career that has hardly begun. He has always wanted to be a ballet dancer, but now that it’s impossible, he turns to Peridot for comfort. Peridot has been rebuilding his life after losing his ability to dance professionally, his marriage, and very nearly his daughter. He has a lot of reasons to be leery of starting something new, especially with a man as young as Adam.
Adam and Peridot have to believe that starting again can lead to love and success and that sometimes, the strength needed to love like you’ve never been hurt can be borrowed from unexpected places for a while. But ultimately, they must find it inside themselves to be each other’s happy ending.
This is book 2 in Jaime Samms Dance, Love, Live series and definitely my favourite.
Adam is just starting out on his career as a ballet dancer when an injury means he has to face the harsh fact that it is already over. Life has dealt him a devastating blow and he handles it badly – first with denial then with anger. He turns to Peridot a man who also knows about disappointment in dance.
Peridot is a man that lost his dance, his wife and his daughter in one go. He was manipulated and it ended badly for him for a while but he fought hard to get back to where he is today. His life revolves around his daughter and for the most part this is the biggest difficulty in the story. He will never again let his daughter down so how does he include a lover into his life without her feeling left out?
This is a story of healing hearts and second chances if both men involved are brave enough to take that chance. Peridot and Adam are good together if they will just risk their hearts once more they could be great!
