Maverick trauma surgeon Ashton “Snow” Frost keeps the world at a distance, relying only on his three closest friends to keep him connected. But when a ghost from their past returns to Cincinnati, Snow stands to lose everyone he loves. Framed for murder and reeling from attacks on his friends, Snow is pushed to his breaking point.
Jude Torres won’t let the doc shatter. The paramedic has been attracted to the doctor since he first laid eyes on him at the hospital, even if the arrogant, solitary man doesn’t fit into any of his plans. One hot, reckless kiss shows that Snow isn’t who he appears to be. And one night together will never be enough. Jude will fight for the doc.
Fight to keep him whole. Fight to keep him safe. Fight to simply keep him.
This was the perfect follow up to Shatter and if you haven’t read the first book in this series I would highly recommend that is where you start.
The Unbreakable Bonds series revolves around four men who have no blood connection but who are far more than just family. These men form part of each other, they exist for each other and they would die for each other. They have not had easy pasts and they have many enemies but they stand together and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty to keep each other safe.
Shatter is Ashton Frost’s story. Ashton or Snow as he is known as to his friends is the darkly brooding trauma doctor who likes rough sex and doesn’t go back for repeats. He has a dark past and an even darker childhood and he loves his best friend Lucas more than life itself.
After meeting Snow and learning of his predilections in book one I was surprised but not unhappy about where the authors took him in this book. It seems even Snow didn’t know what he wanted, what he craved for deep down but Jude saw it and was determined to offer it all.
Jude Torres is a paramedic and he hasn’t slipped the notice of Snow when he’s seen him around the hospital. Jude is an all-round nice guy who looks out for his family, isn’t into casual hook ups and loves his job. He longs to get close to the bossy and arrogant doctor and when finally his chance comes he goes after it with everything he has got.
As well as a frantic and extremely hot affair that starts between the two of them there is a lot more happening in this story. Someone from their past is back in turn with murder on his mind and there is a pretty hard hitting storyline for one of the men leaving them all feeling raw and unbalanced. Snow becomes a target and is also left devastated from a friend’s reaction to his grief but through it all Jude is there to catch him, keep him standing and put him back together.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
