Mako Finn is one of the best characters created by Patrick Fillion and published by Class Comics. And that’s saying a lot considering how much I love and adore what they put out.
I’ve always been fascinated by the ocean and liked the sea-based characters in comics such as Aquaman and Namor, the Sub-Mariner. I’m also a fan of the old show The Man From Atlantis starring Patrick Duffy.
Mako isn’t all that different from regular guys except for the fact that he can breathe underwater and has a fin on his uncut cock. (I truly wonder how it would feel to take that particular appendage.) His lovers sure seem to enjoy it, of which there are many. But that’s no surprise considering it’s a Patrick Fillion creation.
Much of the first part of the book is introducing Mako, and the supporting cast who live in an underwater lab called O.R.C.A. Then the action begins when the team gets a danger alarm. They don’t know that the real trouble is coming from a creepy dude who calls himself the Piranha. He’s kidnapped several men to transform into his mutant shark creatures. Among the men Piranha took captive are identical twins. Piranha gives them a choice—fuck or be mutated. Because…why not? It’s hot, right?
Miles away Mako and his team find some men illegally fishing and put a stop to it. Things go from bad to worse when a giant shark appears and goes after Make.
Of course the comic ends with a cliffhanger.
Book two starts with Mako ready to meet his maker and his origin is revealed. It’s an interesting story though doesn’t fully explain his powers. He battles the shark and during the intense, and well-drawn, fight, he gets knocked unconscious and flashes back to the time he and his best friend Warren met Piranha.
In the present day, Mako is unconscious at first but is woken up by his friend fucking and sucking him. The sex scenes that are ones that can only be seen in comics.
As always the art here is spectacular, but the story is also compelling and interesting.
