I had a post written and ready to go, but there are some posts I prefer to have looked over by both my sister and my wife before I actually post and Sasha was not able to look it over. Since I was down to the wire I’ll probably cannibalize its pieces to use in other things, and today you get some recs b/c yay books 🙂
This was a short, sweet little read that was deeply appreciated after all the long ass books I’ve been reading lately. The lack of angst and misery was also refreshing. I really really loved Dagon and his sweet prince <3
Speaking of long books, this one was long and slow-burning and mostly enjoyable. It can get a little too long, I think, but if you love awesome magic, a large set of characters, and a romance that builds very slowly, here ye be.
This is another slow burn type of book, and such a fun cast of characters. I really really liked how everything played out and came together, and there are so many hella cute moments.
I did not expect to like this book as much as I did. I could write an entire post on why this book was amazing. I first read it on KU, when I was finished I actually bought the ebook, and when it comes out in print I’ll buy that too.
Everything about this book was wonderful. I loved all three of them. I read the end like twenty times. Another one I hope to have in print in the near future. If you love historicals and/or poly, or just want to try something new or different, read it read it.
And that is all I have this go round. I hope everything is having a good week and has a lovely weekend <3 <3 <3

High Commander Lesto Arseni is the most feared man in the Harken Empire. None but the High King dares risk his wrath—and a pirate who once punched him in the middle of the imperial pavilion. A pirate who later snuck away with Lesto to an empty room, touched him in ways far more memorable. And then immediately bolted like a man who’d gotten what he wanted.
Shemal just wants to live a normal life, leave his pirating days behind him and prove that he’s respectable now. The last thing he needs is the two idiots who show up wanting his help with the noble they’ve kidnapped—the very man Shemal had been hoping to prove himself to, the man he hasn’t forgotten since Shemal punched him a year and a half ago.
