Jimmy can’t stop looking at Orlando, even though he knows it can never be. Even after their first date, Jimmy won’t allow it to be. It wouldn’t be right. After all, Jimmy’s a rich kid and Orlando’s poor. When Jimmy finds himself in danger, he wonders how he could have ever pushed Orlando away.

My View:

My overall impression of this book isn’t very high. It’s badly formatted and the book starts in the middle of a sentence, which leaves you with this as the opening:

“I don’t actually want to go Lafayette High or about how you’re only supposed to look at a great looking boy for just so long – a rule I was in the middle of breaking.”

In addition, this book is very poorly written. There are typos, missing words, and even entire chunks of story that were duplicated. I’d be very surprised if any eyes saw this book before it was published. As far as I could tell, the author wrote a single draft and threw it up on Amazon, hoping to make a quick buck. There was no editing, no proofreading, not even a beta reader to pick up the blatant problems.

As far as the plot is concerned, it’s a very boring book. There’s nothing to really keep the reader interested past the first page and it didn’t get better as the book went on. The characters are cookie cutter and there’s no growth to be seen. Even the cover is mediocre and looks like it was made in thirty seconds on Paint.

Unfortunately, I can’t find much of anything to be positive about for this one. There are too many editing mistakes and not enough actual plot or development to overlook them. If this is a book on your To-Read list, I recommend passing on it and moving to the next one.
