Micky Ferro has lived her entire life according to other people’s expectations. She married a man, had two children, and became a dutiful stay-at-home mom in suburban Sydney. Until she realized, with a little help from her best friend, that her picture-perfect life wasn’t making her happy.
On the first anniversary of her divorce, Micky decides it’s time for the next step in her journey and gets a job at her neighborhood coffeeshop, The Pink Bean. Becoming a barista sparks a big change in Micky’s daily routine, but could loud-spoken American customer Robin do the same for her love life?
Don’t miss the first book in this heart-warming new series from the bestselling author of the French Kissing and High Rise series.
Beyond 5 stars! I am in love with this book.
Micky has been divorced for a year and shares custody of her two teenage kids with her ex husband. She and her best friend, a lesbian named Amber, like to go to the Pink Bean for coffee and chats. One day Micky accepts a job at the Bean and begins to realize she has feelings for a woman. This is her journey.
No Strings Attached is a beautifully written coming out story. It is by far the best book on the subject that I have ever read and it is my new favourite Harper Bliss novel. It is emotional, fulfilling, uplifting, tender and so very genuine. This important story resonates deeply with me. I am sure that most women who love women anywhere along the spectrum can relate to this amazing book. I fell in love with Micky. I remember the struggle from first realization to coming out to a child and parents to the first time with a woman and the first love. The love making in this story was wonderfully portrayed. The first time scene was HOT, HOT, HOT! In true Harper Bliss fashion the other sex scenes are just as amazing if not more so. They left me breathless and wanting. This story is a lovely work of art and I am most grateful for it.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
