10 Favorites of Pat You Didn’t Know

Brandilynn suggested that authors come up with lists of Top 10 Things We Love about GRL. While I love a good list as much as the next person, I haven’t been to GRL before. But writing a top 10 list is a great idea. So thinking about Top 10s, I’ve been floundering around a lot.

At first I thought I’d make a list that had something to do with one of my past jobs: theatrical costumer, interviewer, features writer, newspaper librarian, reference librarian, and English composition instructor. I could come up with pretty funny lists from those. But they weren’t really me.

And I wanted to write a list that’s really, really me for this GRL blog piece.

So after a lot of soul-searching, I came up with this:

Pie: Lemon meringue

Architect: Antonio Gaudi

Town: Pacific Grove, California

Hobby: Miniatures creating

English actor: Sir Ian McKellan

Nintendo game: Legend of Zelda

Shoes: Keen Mary Janes, the more colorful the better

Hardware tool: Utility knife

Artist: M. C. Escher / Salvador Dali / Rene Magritte

Woods: Muir Woods National Monument

That’s it! Top 10 Pat Henshaw favorites. Try doing it with your name. It’s lots of fun.

Oh, yes, and if you’d like a quick summer read, try one of the Foothills Pride series books. They are all stand-alones, but sometimes the characters travel from book to book.

Relative Best, #5 in the series, releases August 17 from Dreamspinner Press, so be on the lookout for it.

Have a great summer!
