How is he supposed to trust a man who calls himself Wolf?
Liam O’Reilly doesn’t trust anyone, not even his own mother. With good reason too, because he finds out his mother and stepfather pay to have his brother kidnapped and held against his will. Now, all Liam O’Reilly wants to do is save his brother from the people who are hunting him and get them both out of a very messed up situation. He thinks calling the police will help, but it turns out they are the enemy. When the police who are supposed to protect him throw him in the jail instead, he thinks all hope is lost, until a man named Wolf shows up. Liam isn’t sure if Wolf is his rescuer or just another bad guy. He can’t trust anyone.
I enjoyed this book. It is what I like to call book crack. Where, even with the plot gaps, rushed feel, and glaring development needs, I was connected to the characters and invested enough to want to keep reading the series.
Wolf and Liam were fun together. Their love was VERY instant and unexplained and rushed, but they were cute. Liam was feisty and I loved the banter. I wish I knew more about the men and got to watch them grow together romantically, but in the end, I still enjoyed the ride.
I am glad this book addressed the big bad and the overall series plot ARC more. It got things moving a bit. There are still a lot of questions, but this one felt more cohesive and planned out than the first book. I was left wondering, but more in a “I want to know more” kind of way, rather than a “i’m lost kind of way.
I was glad to see the author do some setting up for the future couples. It is really what is keeping me moving along with these books more than anything else. I liked the Finn triangle and really want to know more about Germ. It is these men and their personalities and the weird ways they are so physical with each other that has grabbed my attention. I will be picking up the next story to see where this goes.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
