The name’s Lio, and you may have read the beginning of my story in A Cupid’s Wager. Well, hold on to your hats, because there’s more to tell about your favorite cupid working in the Gay Division of the Inter-Dimensional Association of Cupids.

Remember Ethan? That Aztec god of the winds who busted me shooting a closeted human with a gay lust arrow? Yeah, I haven’t been able to forget him either. Even though I have a rule against getting it on with other supernaturals—especially ones working for the Straight Division—my magic is drawn to Ethan and all his tattoos and piercings in a way I cannot control.

But after that night of mind-numbing sex, now I gotta face my evil ex-boyfriend and a suspension by the IDAC for “misplacing” arrows. They took my quiver, and I have to figure out how to get my arrow privileges back before they’re taken forever.

Ethan seems to think he can help me, but I don’t know how anybody can make this cupid believe in love again.

As if my body was no longer under my control, I took a step closer to Ethan.

Our eyes met, blue to gray, both asking, needing the same thing.

So close I could smell him clearly, the aroma of spices and dark chocolate surrounded me. The urgent desire swimming around us actually made me feel a little drunk. Our magic and pheromones ignited in the air, mine surging out, and his encircling me so securely my balls churned as if preparing to come. I hadn’t even touched them!

“Ethan.” I breathed a warning. “What’s happening…?”

“You talk too much.”

I gave him a playful shrug of agreement. “You wouldn’t be the first to tell me that.”

“Stop talking.”

His mouth connected with mine.

The moment I felt the heat of his lips, my magic spiked.

It had been a long time since I’d kissed one of my own kind, but not so long ago that I’d forgotten none of those kisses had ever been like this one.

My entire being became involved, reacting at once to the contact with Ethan’s mouth, his tongue. His fingers gripping my hair. I wore my curls a bit long over the ear and brushing my collar, and Ethan buried his fingers deep, holding on tight. He plundered my mouth like the warrior he was. His tongue, naturally, was pierced too.

Damn, I wanted to see what other parts of him were pierced.

About the Author

Deanna Wadsworth might be a bestselling erotica author, but she leads a pretty vanilla life in Ohio with her wonderful husband and a couple adorable cocker spaniels. She has been spinning tales and penning stories since childhood, and her first erotic novella was published in 2010. She has served multiple board positions at her local RWA chapter and with Rainbow Romance Writers of America. When she isn’t writing books or brainstorming with friends, you can find her making people gorgeous in a beauty salon. She loves music and dancing, and can often be seen hanging out on the sandbar in the muddy Maumee River or chilling with her hubby and a cocktail in their basement bar. In between all that fun, Deanna cherishes the quiet times when she can let her wildly active imagination have the full run of her mind. Her fascination with people and the interworkings of their relationships have always inspired her to write romance with spice and love without boundaries.

  1. Being able to meet those writers I love would be my favourite thing in a GRL. Also, being surrounded by people who like the same books I do. Unfortunately, I haven’t managed to make it to any GRL so far. I hope next year will be the one. Have a good time in Kansas, Deanna!

  2. I haven’t been to GRL yet, but I’d love the opportunity to meet my favorite authors & other readers who enjoy the same books I do!

  3. I haven’t been to a GRL either but I would love to meet some of my favorite authors and meet other readers like myself!

  4. What I enjoy is pretty much the whole experience! I’ve made some friends attending this that I wouldn’t have met otherwise, and being able to speak with some of the writers is so interesting. I’ve even hooked a friend into this and she has now 2 published books and will be attending this year as a supporting author.

  5. I wanna go to a GRL!!! WAAAAAAA!!!!
unfortunately I don’t live close enough (I’m an Aussie) and I don’t have the funds to do so :\
so all I can do is dream 🙂

  6. I Love getting to see my friends that I’ve made from my love of the genre. Getting to see my favorite authors and catch up with them. Buying loads of books 😝 That I swear I won’t do every time. Have a blast at the parties. It’s an all around. Great time 😛😘
