Prism Book Alliance® would like to thank Jackie Nacht for stopping by today on the 2016 GRL Author Spotlight Tour. Please give them a warm welcome.
Time to wipe the peanut butter off my jeans.
Hi everyone! First off, I’d like to give a big thank you to Team Prism for having me here today. Thank you!
I always struggle with a topic to write for blog posts. Here I am sitting down with two little ones running around me, my hair a crazy mess, peanut butter on my pant leg, and then it hits me.
Cheese and crackers! I’m leaving in a little over a month for GRL and my family will be on their own. My husband will be alone with the kids. I will actually have to do my hair and make-up. By the way, where are the hell are all my clothes that aren’t yoga pants and tanks?
Then an image popped up in my head that I had seen on pinterest of Lucy saying, “That awful moment when you realize this is your circus and these are your monkeys.”
Okay, okay. I have to give my hubby credit. He has survived before and will survive again. For the parents out there…your kids will be okay. I am not promising that they won’t be covered in glitter tattoos (yeah it happened before) but they will be fine.
And then I thought of another image on pinterest where this little hand reaching out from under the door. The caption reads, “Bathroom break. They will find you!”
This is a plus. I’m not gonna lie. The first day of GRL every year, I pace. I pace because I feel like something is off. I forgot something or I begin to tidy the towels in the damn bathroom. Then I realize I’m not a multi-tasking momma. For the parents out there, I feel you all! I’m in your shoes. It’s hard to take that parent hat off and put on your author hat. It’s hard not to grab a napkin and lick it so you can clean the face of your next victim. I promise I will refrain from doing that. 😉
And this wonderful quote, “Having kids is like having to clean up after a party you didn’t attend.”
At GRL, the parties are a blast and the good news, it will be a time when I can let my hair down, cough actually be at a party cough, and have some fun. Trust me, go to all of them for at least ten minutes. I say that every year and I stay almost the whole time, chatting with a new friend.
For the parents, fur baby parents, kids, grandbabies and all. You will miss your little ones like I will. I will be ready to for the hugs on Sunday. However, in the meantime, let’s have a good time and put our GRL hats on!
See you all soon!

A revengeful ghost threatens Ryder’s life, but Oleg threatens his heart.
Ryder Hope moves to Chicago and is enjoying his new job there. Until he runs into a local legend. Unfortunately, this legend, known as Resurrection Mary, seems to have something important to tell him and she’ll do whatever she has to do to get his attention.
Oleg Sarafov and the rest of the Jersey Paranormal Investigation team are in Chicago on another case when they get a call from a terrified Ryder begging for help. After rushing over, Oleg finds himself face-to-face with the most handsome man he’s ever met.
Before any kind of relationship can start between them, they have to find out what this spirit wants, why she’s becoming increasingly violent in her attempts before Ryder is injured or worse.
About the Author
Short, sexy and sweet—where a little love goes a long way.
That’s the best way to describe Jackie Nacht’s stories. She was introduced to M/M Romance through her sister, Stephani, and read it for years. Then, she thought it was time to put her own stories on paper. Jackie began writing short and sweet stories that ended with a happily ever after.
Thinking back to her own book addiction, where there were many nights Jackie stayed up way too late so she could read just one more chapter—yeah, right—Jackie decided to write short romances for young adults as well as adults. Hopefully, they will give high school and college students, or working men and women something they can read during their lunch hour, in between classes or just when they want to briefly get away from the daily stresses of everyday life.
