It was supposed to be simple: one omega, one alpha, a fake marriage. Then he fell in love.
Bailey has a dilemma: the alpha werewolf his father wants him to marry is a jerk. So he jumps at the opportunity to fake a marriage with alpha werewolf Leon, whose inheritance hangs in the balance.
At first Leon seems like nothing but a rich player, one Bailey should stay away from. As Bailey spends more time with him, he finds him irresistible… and soon he has fallen completely. The hard part is trusting that Leon feels the same way—especially since their marriage has an end date.
With an angry ex on Bailey’s tail and Leon’s sister in trouble, they’ll have to face their obstacles together, married or not. Because together they’ll form a family bond that cannot be broken.
Note: this novel contains mpreg or male pregnancy, as well as mentions of mature subject matter. Reader discretion is advised.
For a shifter story this was pretty sweet and fluffy.
Omegas are not treated well at all in this world of MH Silver’s. They have little to no say in their future and are basically around to bend to an alpha’s will and have babies – even the male ones. Male pregnancy can happen because of witch magic which is also responsible for a few other things although I never really understood the why.
Bailey’s father has had enough and wants his son from under his feet – giving up on waiting he arranges his sons engagement to a bully of man who Bailey has no doubt will treat him badly but all his usual wiles won’t get him out of this one – until he hears about an alpha looking for a “fake” marriage for a year in order to claim an inheritance. A year or forever – Bailey has found his solution and quickly finds himself married to Leon.
For all the posturing of most alphas in this story Leon is quite a relaxed man and seems to genuinely care about the people around him. His grandmother was an astute woman who wanted Leon settled down so put a proviso into her will – marry within a year or lose the company to your unscrupulous father. Now all he needs is a willing husband…
This was fun. It’s a quick light read about doing it all backwards.
