Thorne proposed to Riley. Riley accepted.
Thorne thought that was that. They’d take a nice trip, get married, and spend a week luxuriating in a five-star hotel with occasional excursions to fabulous restaurants.
Riley imagined a traditional wedding with all the trappings. With all their friends and family. At Christmas.
Thorne concedes reluctantly, and a flurry of wedding planning ensues. At the same time, Thorne is wrestling with a recalcitrant client, and Riley and his business partner, Susan, are consumed with renovations and planning for the opening of their bakery. Stress on top of stress makes both Riley and Thorne doubt their relationship, and a major misunderstanding nearly silences the wedding bells.
By the time they reach their happily ever after, they’re both going to deserve all the romance they’ve been dreaming of.
I’ve been rather miserly with my 5 star ratings recently – I read a LOT so for 5 stars you have to give me something special and that’s exactly what Silvia Violet has done with Perfect Alignment as she brings Dash and Thorne’s tumultuous story to an end.
This starts out on a high with Thorne stupidly agreeing to the wedding of Dash’s dreams without really thinking how much stress organising it will add on to their already stressful lives. I loved that even when conflicted this pairs love still shone through and they remained mindful of how their actions were affecting each other even if they were too stubborn or stupid to change their behaviour.
I was trying to remember whether the sex in books 1 and 2 was scorching hot because in this book it was off the charts and oftentimes creative. There is a power exchange and balance between Thorne and Dash that the author got exactly right and it really adds to the story. There is also a great cast of secondary characters and I wonder whether we will see more of Marc and Darius – I do hope so!
Bring tissues! Of course Thorne and Dash get their HEA and it is both poignant and beautiful and will bring a tear to even the hardier of readers. They have to work for it though and what a blast it is watching them get there – eventually! Silvia you nailed this one and I loved every minute.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
