What happens when you meet the right guy at the wrong time?
When Vincent Alesi’s estranged father dies, he gets on the first plane from New York city to Rome to be at the memorial service. Even if he has to max out his credit card. Even if he hates the man for leaving him. Even if it’s a day before Christmas.
Everything that can go wrong does go wrong, and Vin ends up trusting a complete stranger with all his secrets, even the ones he didn’t know he had.
Luca Romano’s job as a flight attendant takes him all over the world. But a jet-setting lifestyle is not what he wants. His dream of opening his own restaurant is being placed on hold over circumstances beyond his control.
Timing is everything…
When Vin bursts into Luca’s life, both men fall fast and hard. But their lives, their dreams, even the cities they live in couldn’t be more different.
Their few days together in Rome are romantic, emotionally intense, and leave them both wanting more.
Can a fleeting love affair change their lives forever?
I loved everything about Kiss and Ride. I loved the writing, I loved the characters and I loved the uncertainty of where the story was going and how it would be resolved.
This is Vin and Luca’s story and it’s a story that seems to be led by fate as Vin has literally dropped everything in his life to attend his estranged fathers memorial in Rome and ends up stuck in a lift with Luca. Have you ever met anyone that you just clicked with? Not the ‘we could be friends’ kind of meeting but more the ‘it feels like we have always been friends’. This is exactly how Vin and Luca felt to me – they could have been lifelong friends, except they weren’t, and they quickly confuse things by burning up the sheets – and I do mean burn! Luca is such a star and a real balm to Vin’s troubled heart.
There is a lot going on in this story but it all melds together beautifully. It’s a little slow to start but savour and enjoy as it soon speeds up and takes you on one hell of a ride. The descriptive writing could almost have you in Rome alongside are MC’s and Teodora has certainly enticed me to visit and experience the city for myself.
If you are looking for a Christmas story with a bit of family drama, a smidge of angst and a whole lot of loving then look no further than Kiss and Ride by Teodora Kostova – you won’t be disappointed.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
