Blurb:

Nick Jorgensen is a quirky genius. He’s made a fortune in the competitive high tech field with his quick mind and attention to detail. He believes in hard work and trusting his gut. And he believes in karma. It’s the only thing that makes sense. People are difficult, but numbers never lie. In the disastrous wake of a broken engagement to an investor’s daughter, Nick is more certain than ever he isn’t relationship material.

Wes Conrad owns a thriving winery in Napa Valley. The relaxed atmosphere is a welcome departure from his former career as a high-rolling businessman. Wes’s laid-back nature is laced with a fierceness that appeals to Nick. In spite of his best intention to steer clear of complications, Nick can’t fight his growing attraction to the sexy older man who seems to understand him. Even the broken parts he doesn’t get himself. However, when Wes’s past collides with Nick’s present, both men will have to have to decide if they’re ready to lean into the ultimate fall.

Napa Valley

My new release, Leaning Into the Fall, is partially set in Napa Valley, also known as Wine Country. Napa is about an hour drive from San Francisco without traffic and it’s absolutely breathtaking. Brilliant blue skies dotted with fluffy white clouds provide the perfect backdrop to the rolling green hills lined with grape-laden vines. It’s peaceful and charming and because it’s the land of Pinot, everyone is in a good mood! J

My most recent trip to Napa was two years ago for a friend’s daughter’s wedding. It was late June and it was hot as hell, but it was glorious. The lavender, the vines, the sky… and yes, the wine! I’ve been a few times, but that trip made an impression. My third book, Better Than Friends, had been just been released and I felt a new sense of purpose as a writer. I wanted to continue my incredible journey. Being an author is not always easy. The hours are long and it can be lonely. However, it’s incredibly gratifying to create meaningful characters readers find relatable. In the back of my head, I knew one day I’d set a story in Napa as a reminder of sorts to keep my purpose.

And ten books later, I did. Leaning Into the Fall is book 2 in my newest series featuring a group of college friends. This story belongs to Nick. If you’ve read Leaning Into Love you may remember him as Eric’s best friend. Nick is the first to admit he isn’t easy. He’s a quirky, uber-intellect who struggles with communication. And Wes is the Napa Valley winery owner who unbelievably gets him. The wine country setting was deliberately chosen to counterbalance the frenetic pace of city life. Ying and yang. Wes is Nick’s point of balance. How very fitting that he should reside in a place where Mother Nature reminds us we are mere mortals and that taking care of each other is what makes us special.

Happy Reading!

  1. I’m more partial to Monterey, but then I don’t have an appreciation for wine, lol. Congrats on the new release, sounds like a nice contrast in personalities!
