They Grow Up Way Too Fast

My not so baby boy is growing up!  He had his first solo swim class today.  He and I have been in parent/child swimming classes since he was 9 months old, but no more. He is now in the big boy pool an mommy and his sisters get to set on the other side of the glass and watch.

I am sad but also very proud of him.  It took him a little while to adjust.  New teacher, new time, new day, new pool, and new routine.  He cried, he tried tTo crawl out of the pool, but, once they brought out his favorite part of the lesson (some barbells to assist in kicking his way across the pool), we was in his element and did great!  Luckily, I still get him in a mommy and me class at The Little Gym on Fridays (for a few more months anyway).

In the mean time (well actually just before L’s lesson), E had her 4mo check-up at the pediatrician.  She is now 15lbs 9oz and 23″ long.  She is definitely not my little peanut anymore!

About BrandilynRC

Brandilyn is a middle-aged (When the hell did that happen?) stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children (of course she is biased). She started reading M/M Romance and Gay fiction in early 2012 and was quickly hooked. In her first 18 months as a M/M Romance fan, she read over 900 titles in the genre (not counting re-reads), ranging from shorts to epic novels. She reads across all tropes within the Gay Fiction genre…. except Regency, she has never found a love for Regency. A native Texan she finds Texas to the be almost perfect… except for one thing, their treatment of the GLBTQ community. This blog is her brain child and she is happy to welcome some fellow GLBTQ supporters to review here and help promote equality (oh and of course fangirl/fanboy over their favorite authors and works).

  1. I really enjoyed reading this post about your son learning to swim. I remember when my son went through this and was learning to swim and get used to the water. Now he is 29! They sure grow up fast! keep up the good work little one!
