Five stars from me and probably my favorite holiday book of the year!
This story once again reminded me why Heidi Cullinan is one of my very favorite M/M Romance authors. She knows how to push my buttons – men who fall in looooove.
When I started this book I thought it was going to be one of those quick to read Christmas novellas – oh no – it was a full fledged, amazing story. The only thing quick about it was the fact that I did not want to put it down.
One of the things I love about Heidi’s stories is that her characters have feelings, but that never gets in the way of their ability to burn up the sheets. Let’s face it, she knows how to write a really good dirty story. This one is certainly hot, but it also has a really sweet side too.
We get to meet Frankie who is trapped in Northern Minnesota during a holiday blizzard. Due to some poor navigation on his part he ends up in the small town of Logan, a place that at first glance reminds him of why he hot-tailed it to the big city. Bottom line, he fears being a gay man in a rural town – and with good reason – big, burly manly men in his neck of the woods usually aren’t very tolerant.
That’s where Marcus comes in – he is one of three “Bears” that rescue the stranded Frankie. Is this a Goldilocks story? No way! There are not three beds in the cabin, so someone is going to have to share. Is it going to be with the grumpy bear Marcus or the other two big, kinky bears ?
It’s cute and sweet, it’s hot and sexy, and it’s all together wonderful. A great story to read during the holidays, especially if you need to be warmed up on a cold night.
