Can two men drawn together by past and present events find love when and where they least expect it?

Unable to forget a secret of his past, Lee Mullens arrives at the Haver Corners Inn on his wedding day, alone. Guilt-ridden and confused, he retreats to their planned honeymoon location only to meet the attractive Sanders Hamilton.

Sanders feels the pull to his melancholy guest, and sets out to befriend the young man. But what grows between them is so much more than friendship…despite the fact that Sanders runs the inn with his wife.

Can Lee and Sanders overcome the conflicts in their lives and find their way to each other.

My View

As a teenager Lee Mullens had night of passion with his best friend and neighbour Brian. The next morning Brian left for college telling Lee to forget what happened.  He did.
Years later on his wedding day Lee relives the memories of that night and realises that although he loves the woman he is about to marry his is not in love with her. He does what he thinks is right and fair and cancels the wedding. To escape everyone he heads to the Inn that was booked for their honeymoon.

The Havers Corners Inn is run by Rochelle and Sanders Hamilton.  Sanders can feel Lees sadness and the two men bond over the next couple of nights over glasses of Whiskey and personal conversations.  Lee tells all about his cancelled wedding and Sanders talks about his cold marriage.
When Sanders knocks on Lees door thinks turn hot very quickly and the two men end up in bed together.  It’s insta attraction but both men feel guilty for different reasons.

The next morning Lee feels incredible guilt and realises he must pack and leave.  As he gets to his car he sees Sanders who is also laden with guilt but has made a decision that may affect Lee in the very near future.

I would be very interested in knowing what happens in the future with these two men. It was all very quick and I am a sucker for a HEA 🙂

  1. I’m having mixed feeling about this one. The review was great and the blurb interesting but the cheating/adultery element here is throwing me off.Putting it on my maybe list.
