I love short stories! Especially when they are entertaining and easy to read. It’s nice sometimes to enjoy a quick getaway and know you’ll be back to reality soon. In this first book of the “52 First Dates” series we get to meet David, and learn how he has formed a plan to find the perfect boyfriend. What surprised me about the book was that the author based the story on his experiences. Well, I have to say Mr. Lusch you led quite an interesting life!

From the Publisher:
Now that David’s heading towards his mid-30s, he’s finally realised that it’s time to find a husband. But with so many men and so little time, he realises he’s going to have to be strategic if he’s ever to find his soulmate.
Thus, 52 First Dates is formed; a challenge, a scheme, to go on a date with a new man, every week, for a year. If it pays off, he’ll be in marital bliss. If it doesn’t, he’ll know that he’s fated with being the eternal bachelor. With everything to live for, David plunges into the world of dating in search of the perfect man.
The idea behind this cute series is that a gay man has decided he’s had enough of the endless dating scene and wants to find a guy to get serious with – but he is a hook up pro so it will not be easy to settle down. Because he is quite a player when he puts his mind to “date” he also starts to realize just much he does hook up – and maybe hooking up is just less work too.
There is no shortage of sex in the story, for a short story it has plenty to keep things steamy. David is quite funny and watching him attempt to stick to his “Man Plan” and find a suitable boyfriend has some humorous moments. Even though this book is short the author does a good job of bringing in several characters and building the background of their relationships. I am really looking forward to seeing how hard David will have to work to achieve his goal of 52 first dates in a year.
I would like to thank A. Lusch for providing me with the eRC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
