He is engaged to Jase, a tempestuous and passionate Hollywood actor, and his career as an assistant movie director is thriving. Then Shae walks back into his life. It is clear that he is still deeply attracted to Shae and that feeling is returned. Unfortunately everyone else can see it, including his fianc . As Morgan and Shae get to know each other again, they discover the extent that friends meddled in their lives to keep them apart. Morgan finds he cannot deny he is still in love with Shae, but he is engaged. Shae has secrets of his own he’s not prepared to share. Morgan has some hard decisions to make as he struggles not to hurt the men he cares about.

My View

This is a book full of secrets and therefore quite difficult to review as I don’t want to give any of them away!

When Morgan cheated on Shae five years ago Shae left and literally never came back. Morgan was devastated by his actions and his loss but finally moved on. He is now engaged to actor and heart throb Hollywood actor Jase and looking forward to getting married.

When Shae walks into Morgans cafe one morning the two men are left stunned and obviously still attracted to each other. It is also obvious to everyone else including Jase who has problems of his own but might just have found the answers.

Although Morgan and Shae try to stay away from each other their shared past is something neither man can for and they find themselves walking through a minefield as they try to find some sort of relationship as friends.

What they discover is that their friends have played a very large roll in keeping the two men apart and that they have been lied to and deceived.

As the secrets role out Morgan and Shae find a place in each others lives where they feel the old love and slowly try to build a relationship together. Morgan is much quicker to open his life to Shae but when a car crash lands Shae in hospital Morgan finally gets introduced to the rest of the family.

Just when you feel these two men might have a chance up goes the angst and the biggest secret of all is revealed. It is like a roller coaster of emotions as the shit hits the fan and it seems almost impossible that they will be able to recover. Shae is going to have to give the explanation of a lifetime to have even a slight chance of holding onto what he loves!

  1. I’m not really big on books with cheaters in it but I think this might be interesting to read from the standpoint of a cheater.
