From the Publisher:

Roque “Ro” Celdran dreams of a better life, far away from the hand-to-mouth existence of his migrant worker family. He moves to San Francisco to study Landscape Design but finds himself short of cash. Tony, Ro’s identical twin, comes up with a plan to help Ro make ends meet. The BDSM club Tony frequents is looking for gay men to act as submissives to the Dommes-in-training. Ro reluctantly takes the job and falls headfirst into a world he neither understands nor desires.

Lance Roberts is the new doctor at the dental practice started by Scott Gregory and Robin Kennedy. On the surface, he seems to have it all: the Mensa IQ, blond and blue-eyed good looks, and the determination to make it in his competitive field. Underneath lies a frustrated Dom in search of the perfect sub who can handle his obsessive behavior and debilitating need for control.

When Ro ends up in Lance’s dental chair, the last thing either one expects is a physical and mental connection. Ro’s attraction to “White Bread” never pans out, and Lance’s weakness for Latinos always leads to a dead end. Could this time be different? What happens between the two alphas leads to a lot of soul-searching and some surprising conclusions.

My View

Tony and Ro are identical twins. Their looks are where their similarities end though.

Ro is hardworking, diligent and constantly trying to better himself. He will be the first in his family to get a degree and puts all his time and energy into trying to make his landscape gardening business a success.

Tony lives his life on the fly. His work ethic isn’t strong and he has become enamoured with a trainee Domme at his local BDSM club which takes up most of his time. When the club is looking for gay men to help with training he immediately thinks of his brother and offers him a way of making some much needed extra cash.

Ro has no interest in BDSM and is definitely not submissive but needs the money and as he will be ‘subbing’ for women who do nothing for him sexually he gives it a go. When Ro gets caught up in his day job and can’t make an evening session Tony grabs the chance to make his dream a reality but the consequences are disastrous.

Lance has been working at the dental practice for almost 6 months. Charming, good looking and extremely smart on the surface he seems to have everything he wants. What Lance really wants and needs is a man to dominate but with his OCD and other quirks finding him has proven difficult. He has almost given up on the idea when Ro lands in his dental chair.

Lance will go the extra mile to give Ro back his beautiful smile. Ro thinks Lance hung the stars but is pretty sure he isn’t gay and that if he was what would he see in such a lowly person as himself.  Both these men through their upbringing and previous events in their lives have major hang ups. Although they quickly get together and the sex is the best they have ever had they also connect mentally but there are so many secrets that their new friendship seems destined to fail.

The big question is how two dominant men can be in a D/s relationship and when is the right time for Lance to approach his need for this. Ro feels panicked into coming clean about his foray into the BDSM scene but is terrified of how Lance will react and fears he will see him as a prostitute. The secrets just keep building.

When Tony finally goes off the rails things quickly fall apart and Ro is left flailing and unsure of everything. Both these dominant men need to find a middle point, and quickly, if their relationship is to survive. For this to happen they will have to be truthful about everything for the first time since they met!
