My Rating: 4 of 5 starrs

From the Publisher:

Brent is a jock, Logan a geek, these men are a world apart. But if opposites attract, maybe it’s the differences between them that make it worth the fight.

Brent Kelly is a laid-back tradesman whose only concerns are drinks with friends and which man to bed next. In need of a new accountant to sort out his nightmarish shoebox of tax receipts, he’s referred to Logan Willis.

He doesn’t expect to be intrigued by the science fiction-loving, geeky guy with dark-rimmed glasses and a TARDIS blue shirt. So his fascination with the soft-spoken Englishman surprises him, and their mutual attraction is completely unexpected. He most certainly never expects to fall in love.

One a jock and the other a geek, both men know the differences between them are vast and could cause problems. But in this opposites-attract erotic drama, maybe it’s the differences between them that make staying together worth the fight.

Publisher’s note: This book was previously published elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for release with Totally Bound Publishing.

My View

Taxes and Tardis is a love story that wouldn’t have happened if Brent and Logan never took a chance.

Brent is a jock with big muscles and a bigger heart. Logan is geeky and shy but sometimes a little bit of a Tiger and has a huge fan thing going with Dr Who. When Brent needs his taxes sorting out and his normal accountant is unavailable he makes an appointment to drops his shoebox of receipts to Logan.  Expecting a dour older man he is left literally speechless when he meets Logan.

This is where the ‘chance’ comes into it. Logan gives Brent a business card with his contact information on which includes his personal mobile number.  Brent takes the opportunity and uses the number over the weekend and they meet, even if it is on the pretence of looking over accounts, hit it off and make another date. I like this idea. If people felt more able to do this in everyday like I wonder how many more friendships or romances we would see.

Not everything runs smoothly for these two.  There is a protective elder sister and a jealous friend but neither man can deny the attraction even if they are so very different.  There is Brents sad family background and Logans fears of how people see him.

There is also love and respect as the two get to know each other and prove that opposites really do attract. I hope you enjoy Brent and Logan as much as I did!
