Left of Centre by Zathyn Priest ~ Book Review by Brandilyn

Left-of-Centre Title: Left of Centre

Author: Zathyn Priest

Publisher: Scarlett Tie

Cover Artist: Zathyn Priest

Rating: 4 of 5 Stars

When self-confessed player Brandon Faulkner arranges to meet three different Goth guys over the course of one weekend, he isn’t expecting to meet someone like ‘Enigma’.

Enigma isn’t like anyone Brandon’s met before. He’s unpredictable, volatile and… well, downright weird! To make matters worse, the gorgeous Enigma isn’t at all impressed with Brandon and is unafraid to crush the man’s ego at every opportunity.

For the first time in his life, Brandon has to work hard to win the guy. Will Brandon agree to Enigma’s left of center, bizarre requests, or is the player about to get played?

My View:

I have had Left of Centre in my library for quite some time, but I never had an excuse to read it. Finally, I found an excuse and am quite happy that I did. I have read two other titles from Zathyn Priest, The Curtis Reincarnation and One of Those Days, both of which I adored, so I don’t really know why LoC kept getting pushed to the back of the queue.

I could probably go into the deep meaning and various lessons taught in Left of Centre, but I don’t want to bog us down in the details. Left of Centre is a well written, enjoyable look at one man’s transformation from man whore to man. We get to see him find and accept someone who isn’t perfect and grow up to be the man that person needs him to be. We get to see a man get played thoroughly and deservedly for being an arrogant prick, without lasting damage, of course.

Left of Centre is a quick read, but very much worth the time. Once I started reading, I had to finish it in one sitting.
