I love L.A. Witt and was excited to read this m/m paranormal short story about a ghostly matchmaker.

Nate Bard is at his wit’s end. There’s something living—or not living, as the case may be—in his house, and if he ever wants to sleep again, it needs to go. Ever the skeptic, Nate balks at his sister’s suggestion of bringing in a psychic, but after another sleepless night, he’s desperate.
Enter Isaac Lane, the hot psychic who immediately senses both the ghost and the homeowner’s doubts.
Within minutes of Isaac’s arrival, weird things start happening. Though Nate hasn’t had a clue what’s been making this ghost so restless, now it seems the ghost is bent on getting the two men together. And neither Nate nor Isaac is able—or willing—to resist.
Something unusual is happening in Nate Bard’s house. There seems to be a “presence” of some kind that will not give him peace, and he reluctantly brings in psychic Isaac Lane to see if he can help. Immediately upon Isaac’s arrival at the house, the two men are bombarded with odd occurrences and undeniable attraction.
This is light fare, a cute story about a skeptical man experiencing some strange goings-on in his home. It isn’t heavy or intense, though the moments that Nate has “encounters” are the best part of this story, in my opinion. I would have loved more build-up with this type of scene, as they were well written and chilling.
Once Isaac arrives, however, the activity ratchets up, and frankly, things just turn a bit outlandish for me. I can suspend my belief to a certain point, especially within this genre, but the sexual power this ghost wields is a just bit over the top. I did like these characters, despite the fact that little is known about Isaac except that he is a hot psychic. The circumstances surrounding their first intimate contact are a tad far-fetched, but they seem to work well together as the story progresses.
Overall, I recommend this short story for L.A. Witt and paranormal fans who just to escape for a little while with a quick, sexy, and entertaining romp.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
