Body and Soul by Jordan Castillo Price ~ Book Review by Teresa

Book 3 of the PsyCop series

Body and Soul Title: Body and Soul

Author: Jordan Castillo Price

Publisher: Self Published

Rating: 4.5 of 5 Stars

Thanksgiving can’t end too soon for Victor Bayne, who’s finding Jacob’s family hard to swallow. Luckily, he’s called back to work to track down a high-profile missing person.

Meanwhile, Jacob tries to find a home they can move into that’s not infested–with either cockroaches, or ghosts. As if the house-hunting isn’t stressful enough, Vic’s new partner Bob Zigler doesn’t seem to think he can do anything right. A deceased junkie with a bone to pick leads Vic and Zig on a wild chase that ends in a basement full of horrors

My View:

Another great addition to the Psy-Cop series! Body and Soul was witty, quirky and ghastly all at once with a little sexy thrown in.

It was great to see Vic and Jacob’s relationship move further along; meeting Jacob’s extended family and planning to move into a new home together – if they can find one that’s not haunted. Meanwhile life goes on – or death in this case – and Vic has a new Stiff partner to break in as he attempts to solve a case of missing persons, which they are sure didn’t end well.

I loved the banter and the ghosts. I loved Vic’s voice and how the author is able to show us Jacob’s feelings for Vic without Vic entirely realizing them.

I am intrigued by the continued references to Camp Hell and am looking forward to continuing the series to find out about this dastardly place. As this is only book 3 and the series is currently out to book 7, I have some reading to do!

I highly recommend this paranormal series!

  1. Camp Hell is my favourite book in this awesome series, you definitely have something to look forward to with that one 😀

Oh, and book 1 has just been released as an audiobook, the narrator does a great job with Vic’s voice

    • I saw that Book 1 is on Audio, it is on my to buy list! I am working my way through this series slower than I want due to trying to fit them into challenges but hope to have them all read by the end of the year!!
