A Moon Too Far by S.A. Garcia ~ Book Review by PizzyGirl

A Moon Too Far Title: A Moon Too Far

Author: S.A. Garcia

Publisher: Dreamspinner Press

Cover Artist: Catt Ford

Rating: 4.5 of 5 Stars

Stranded on a moon smelling of rotten eggs with tunnel ghouls attempting to eat him, Captain Tanner N’tirant meets a legend and finds the truth is a lot hotter than the myth. A scorned mother landed him on this rock, and while sleeping with her son wasn’t the finest decision he ever made, trusting Denzantalen, a gene-spliced hybrid thought to be extinct, might be the best decision of his life.

PizzyGirl’s View:

This was such a great short story. I loved the humorous tone and the fact that for the first 40% of the story, all dialogue was between Tanner and himself. The world was great and though there was little action other than the crash, the story moved at a good pace and held my attention. Tanners inner arguments with himself were snarky and gave good insight to his character while at the same time telling his backstory.

I am not really sure what to say about Den. His description was not something I could formulate in my head, I need a picture please.  In addition, this non-human had some surprising attributes that made me cringe at first, but then turned rather HOT. I liked the interaction between the MCs and love the way the author made me want to know more about this universe. The ending was rather open and left me to decide if things are only friendly or if there is the potential for more.

S.A. Garcia, are there more stories set in this world? If not, can there be?
