Twenty-eight-year-old Brooklyn Campbell is having a bad day. A speeding ticket, a towed car, and a broken heel are all working against her laid-back vibe. To top it all off, her birth mother, whom she’s never met, has requested contact. The only bright spot is an impromptu date with a beautiful and mysterious brunette.
Classic and Sweet
Brooklyn spent her entire life in the system. She has issues with trust because of this. However, she maintains a sunny outlook and has made life long friends in college. Together they open an advertising agency in NYC. One night she meets a Goddess named Jessica. Unbeknown to her Jessica owns a rival agency and worse they are competing for the same job. Is there anyway they can separate the personal from the professional? Will Brooklyn be able to trust Jessica enough to build a future together or will past lessons rule her tomorrows?
This is a sweet romance novel. It makes no claim to be anything but and that is part of why I liked it so much. The book focused on the relationships and the events that that effect it. Pure, simple and lovely, this is a relaxing read, perfect for a lazy day curled up with a cup of hot chocolate.
I enjoyed the story, the plot was good, the writing and editing solid and the characters were very easy to care about and sympathize with. I also liked the side events that took place in Brooklyn and Jessica’s lives. They added depth and dimension to the characters and were necessary to show the changes in these sexy women.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a classic romance.
I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
