It’s possible to find love even in a time of war.

Delevan has seen almost everyone in the pride find their mate and live happily ever after, and he’s tired of waiting for his turn. He might be happier than he’s ever been before, but he’s still missing something, and he wants to find it.

The last thing Blair expected when he moved to Whitedell to train was to meet his mate, and he certainly didn’t expect to be paired to Alpha Dominic Nash’s son. Not only is Blair a bit intimidated by Alpha Nash, but he’s also committed an unpardonable faux pas—before meeting Delevan, he slept with Benjamin, one of the few single pride members.

Before Delevan and Blair manage to dissipate the tension between them, the mole finally reveals himself and puts Delevan’s life in danger. Delevan survives, but how will what happened to him, and the mole’s identity, influence his relationship with Blair? Will Delevan finally find the piece he’s been missing, or will he lose everything to the hunters?

My View:

Probably my least favorite cover of the series, but not one of my least favorite books. Maybe it is the pink background or the fact that models don’t scream “Delevan and Blair” or even “sexy” or “hot” to me. Don’t know. I was a bit luke warm on this cover. But let’s be honest, the covers aren’t what keep me coming back time and again to this series. That keep me eager for the next installment.

I downloaded Delevan’s story as soon as it was available to me and started reading. I have been anticipating this story since Blair and Delevan found each other during Adan’s story. Because of their meet cute and of course the little cliffhanger in the Adan’s story, we get a bit of timeline overlap between the two stories. This time, of course, we are focused on Delevan and Blair.

First of all can I just say… komodo dragon shifter? Pretty cool right there. There is that whole venom thing that has to be dealt with the whole two alpha-esque personalities that meet and clash. And the whole Delevan is the Pride Alpha’s sone thing to deal with. Speaking of which, we get to see some more of Ani this time around. I missed him, so that was a nice addition to the story.

For all you Nysys and Keenan fans, oh get ready. They (especially Nysys) has a big role in this story. Lots Nysys action and we even see Morin in passing.

So back to the main story. There are some exciting developments played out in the hunter storyline. Of course we now know the head of the hunters, but the pack doesn’t. Well some of them get to find out. Great forward progress is made on that front.

If you have made it this far into the series, you don’t need me to tell you to pick up this installment. If you haven’t, Go ahead and start at the beginning. It is a bit rough to start, but once Ms. Lievens hits her stride, it is a fun ride.

I am ready for the next one, please Ms. Lievens.
