Taggart Lee has it all.
Everything except love.

Tag is the jaded lead singer for 7’s Mistress, the biggest rock band in the world. After fifteen years in the business, he’s drowning in it all. When tragedy strikes, he takes a break from the road and the monotony his life has become. When he meets a gorgeous man on a park bench, he sees his lifeline.

Dr. Erik Henrikson thought he’d met the one.
He had.
The wrong one.

A year after his breakup, he still has a lock on his heart. Then he meets Lee, someone whose life has just been turned upside down. When he finds out Lee’s true identity, Erik throws away the key.

Tag has two weeks to make the doctor want him. He has three months to prove he won’t hurt him.

Tragedy brings them together.

Lies and betrayal push them apart.

Is love enough to deliver them?

My View:

So I read this series out of order. I read book 2 first and had no issues, so these books, while connected, can be read as stand alones. Though I do have to say I am kind of glad I read the second book first because I don’t know if I would have read Cade’s story if I had read these in order.

For me, this story was all about the emotions. It was Tag and Erik’s histories and their loneliness that drew me in and kept me wanting them to make it as a couple. Their story was very rushed and there were times I found myself thinking that I had missed something. Very often the author resorted to telling me things rather than showing me, so sometimes it felt like the story was disjointed. But in the end, the emotions totally won out and I was left with a sense of happy fulfilment and the tears I shed were worth it. I was given everything I needed to feel Erik and Tag’s romance and their love was a great one. Their bond over Delilah was so loving and cute. I loved the way Delilah won over ever big bad bodyguard and hardened musician. It was adorable and totally stole the show.

Overall, this series is a good one. The execution could use some development, but the characters and the stories are great.
