Cinder, a poor and beautiful young man who designs clothing, makeup, and hair for his stepmother and stepsisters, offers his clothing and slippers to a naked stranger in the woods who turns out to be none other than Prince Charming. Follow Cinder and Prince Charming in this twist on the classic “Cinderella” tale, as they discover their inner strengths and find their very own happily ever after. Enjoy “The Naked Prince” and three other reimagined Tales from Fairyland, each with a unique spin on stories we all know and love, including “The Golden Rule,” where eighteen-year-old Gideon Golden, after being thrown out of his home in Fairyland by his homophobic parents, breaks into the cottage of three burly men on Bear Mountain, “Whatever Happened To…?,” in which friction ensues between a celebrity with a growing appendage and the reporter who has a thing for giants, and “Ice Cold,” where young Gaelen must save his love Kieran after a handsome but evil prince freezes Kieran’s heart and bewitches him into being the prince’s slave.

Hello Prism Book Alliance readers, my name is Cinder and I’m a character in “The Naked Prince” fairytale in Joe Cosentino’s THE NAKED PRINCE AND OTHER TALES FROM FAIRYLAND e-book and now audiobook published by Dreamspinner Press. As a poor young man who has lived in a tiny cottage cooking, cleaning, sewing, and making up my stepmother and stepsisters, I’m not sure what a book alliance is, or what a prism is, but they both sound very nice. Anyway, that’s me on the cover on the right. To my left is the gorgeous handsome prince I met in the woods. That’s why I came here today. I want to tell everyone to hear the new audiobook version of my story, and the other three terrific fairytales, in THE NAKED PRINCE AND OTHER TALES FROM FAIRYLAND by Joe Cosentino. Everyone loves fairytales, but you’ve never heard them like this!

“The Naked Prince” is a gay take on the Cinderella story as I, tired of serving my stepmother and stepsisters, meet a young naked prince in the woods. When the prince’s parents host a ball, my deceased fathers use their magic so I can attend. In “The Golden Rule,” Gideon Golden is tossed out of his home by his homophobic parents, and he sneaks into the home of three burly men living on Bear Mountain. “Whatever Happened To … ?” features a reporter with a thing for giants interviewing a celebrity with a growing appendage who can’t tell fact from fiction. Finally, in “Ice Cold,” Gaelen goes on an adventure to save his young lover Kieran from the wicked Prince Isidore’s evil clutches and melt Kieran’s frozen heart.

When the e-book released, the other characters and I were so proud of the strong reviews, mentioning the humor, drama, sweet romance, clever plot twists and turns, and of course the happily ever after endings in the stories. I’ll admit I was skeptical when I heard an audiobook version was in the works. I remember asking Prince Charming, “Can one person really bring all of us characters to life?” I shouldn’t have worried. Joel Leslie did the trick. When listening to the audiobook, it was as if being in Fairyland with all the characters I know and love. Joel sounds more like me than I do! And all of his accents! I felt as if I’d taken a trip around the world. I burst out loud laughing at my stepsisters’ voices, just like their own. I shivered at the sound of my stepmother. My celestial fathers caused me to weep, and of course Prince Charming made me swoon. Speaking of Prince Charming, don’t tell him but the Woodsman in “The Golden Rule” made me a bit weak at the knees, as did Ben the bear. I enjoyed trying to solve the mystery in “Whatever Happened To,” and I happily came along on the adventure with Gaelen and Kieran in “Ice Cold.” I’m sure you’ll love these four enticing, international stories in this captivating audiobook. It’s the perfect blending of Joe’s writing and Joel’s acting, and our stories from Fairyland.

I better get back to the palace. Prince Charming will be looking for me. And I’d have it no other way. Happy listening!
