First comes trust, then love… then the fight to stay alive.

Pop star Tyler Hart is desperate for peace after a humiliating public scandal. It seems like Stanford Creek may well be the place to lay low. After all, it worked for his friends and former bandmates, Cody and Danny. He borrows a cabin and settles in for a quiet Christmas…well, not quite.

Garrett Campbell is on the run. Wounded in the line of duty, he escapes to the only place he feels safe, Stanford Creek and his brother’s cabin. Only he doesn’t realize he’ll have a roommate, and a sexy one at that.

Amid snow falls and winter winds, passion burns bright. When danger threatens to follow Garrett, he has to decide whether to run again before his secrets could kill him and the man of his dreams.

The cabin in the snow is a story line I adore. From the very first moment I read a Christmas story I love the romance of the snow, the ice, the feeling of being warm and cozy inside, the snowball fights, the hot tub.

Oh yeah. The hot tub. That is a new one, but something that fits this storyline very well!
I have used the concept of isolation before – most notably in my Sanctuary series, where remote locations are used to hide witnesses whom the FBI can’t help. This is a different kind of isolation; Ty doesn’t imagine for one minute he’ll have to share the space he has managed to get hold of. He is running from the press who are hounding him over a revealing sex tape. All he wants is to get out of his place in the city and to hide away until the media have forgotten about him.

Garrett on the other hand just needs somewhere to get his head together. Shot, seeing his friend die in front of him, and with the offer of a desk job his only future, he is licking his wounds. His brother’s cabin in the ideal hiding place.

Only he never counted on Ty.

And that is another romance staple I love; two people in enclosed spaces, thrown together, at first unsure, and then slowly finding love.
