When two friends pose as boyfriends, could what happens at Christmas turn into something more?
Justin is recently and unhappily single. Christmas is coming, and he doesn’t want to face his ex alone at their office party. So Sean—Justin’s best mate and long-time secret crush—volunteers to go with him and pretend to be his new flame.
Sean has always lusted after Justin from afar, but there’s never been a good opportunity to ask him for more than friendship. Posing as Justin’s boyfriend isn’t a chore, and if Justin wants to rebound onto him, Sean’s more than willing. At the party pretence and reality blur, and a kiss on the dance floor leads to a night of passion.
In the aftermath, they both assume it was a one-time thing until fate intervenes. Stuck together in London over the holidays, they give in to temptation again. But what happens at Christmas stays at Christmas… right?

This story had me hooked right from the beginning. I love friends-to-lovers and this was one great.
Sean and Justin’s story was fabulous in that it hit me in all the right feels. From the start I could taste the sexual tension and the attraction between these men. I could feel the reticence and desire not to screw up the friendship while at the same time I wanted to slap them both for being so OBLIVIOUS. But what I felt the most was that bit of realism that was infused in their love story and it was that bit or reality that stole my heart. I loved the inside jokes, the fart jokes, the safe word, and the memories. I LOVED the slow burning sexual tension and that dance scene, OMG I FELT the dirty way they moved together. I did a happy dance when they finally admitted their love to each other and in that moment, I fell in love with them myself.
This is that kind of novella that has everything I needed to feel and understand and relish the love between the MCs and I recommend you pick this one up to start your Christmas season off right.
Mark Steadman has done a couple other books by Jay Northcote and just like the others he did a great job here. Perfect nuances for Sean and Justin and amazing overall.
