Nate has been in love with Quinn, his brother’s best friend, for as long as he can remember. But when he finally gets the chance to show Quinn how he feels, his heart gets broken in the most unexpected way.
Quinn doesn’t believe in miracles, especially not Christmas ones. When he decides to win Nate back he knows it won’t be easy. The last thing he expects is a health scare, a road trip and a vicious snow storm to work in his favor. In the end, a cabin in the woods turns out to be not only the shelter they desperately need, but also Quinn’s very own Christmas miracle.
The first time I read this book I adored it. Even upon re-read (or listen as the case may be) I still adore this little Christmas Friends-to-Lovers/Second Chance Romance story.
Here is my original review of Quinn and Nate’s story.
It only took about two pages of Snowed in by Teodora Kostova for me to be completely in love with Nate and Quinn. Throughout the story, I smiled, I laughed, I teared up, and I raged. I wanted Nate to find his happy. I wanted Nate and Quinn to find their way back to each other.
One night changed everything for these two. We spent most of the book wondering why, just as Nate did. We spent most of the book cautiously optimistic about Nate and Quinn’s chances. We spent most of the book hoping for a miracle — much as Quinn did.
Kostova’s rich descriptions of character and setting put you right in the middle of the story. Her turn of phrase makes you a part the characters and their lives.
This story isn’t connected to any series, but I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing more for Nate and Quinn in the future… just saying.
Dan Rider is a new narrator for me. In a way that is a good thing. I have no expectations or prejudgement going into the story. What I do have is a healthy level of skepticism that he can do justice to a story I so loved in eBook format.
I would like to thank the author for providing me with the audiobook of this title in exchange for my honest opinion.
