eattle is being plagued by a string of gruesome murders. For Detective Peter Tao, it’s a career-making case, but he’s struggling to find a lead. How is the killer choosing his victims? What is he trying to prove?

With a long list of suspects and nothing to connect them, Peter is more determined than ever to apprehend the murderer. Then Peter gets the one vital piece of evidence that ties everything together. Now he’ll have to look beyond the obvious to identify the killer before anyone else is murdered.

My View:

If I had to choose my favourite type of book, it would be a romantic thriller and I also think it’s one of the most difficult to get right in terms of balance. This was pretty damn close.

For the first time in forever I second guessed myself while reading this, I was convinced that I knew who the killer was, then Ethan Stone made me think that I was wrong ! It’s well plotted and reads like the author really knows his police work (although I am British, and I could be totally wrong here !). It’s quite hard to say much more without being spoilery.

I also found the romance very sweet, if not as strong as the thriller element. Peter had morals and stood by them, and overall was just a terrific character, I really didn’t get much of a sense for Bryce, his lover, however.

Overall well written and very exciting.
